We went down to visit our horsey friends in El Dorado today. They threw Phil and another of our friends a birthday party. The theme was “Piñatas and Ponies”! Now, keep in mind that Phil turned 47, and the other birthday boy, Mr. Charles, turned 75. It was a great party, complete with a piñata, pony rides, and a horsey cake.
Today, we were back in El Dorado. We have two yearling fillies being boarded there, and Phil wanted to start halter-breaking them while we were down. Horsemanship is his passion, it’s what he lives to do. He is a full-time nurse and part-time farrier, but given his choice, he would practice his horsemanship day in and day out. I might add that he is quite good at it, though I may be a little biased! Here are a few shots from his time with one of the fillies today. He’s working her off of his AQHA perlino stallion, Junior. Please excuse the round pen bars. I didn’t want to put
myself my camera in danger! 🙂
Happy New Year!

We went to El Dorado today to visit our “horsey friends” as I like to call them. There are always lots of photographic opportunities there. I got a few good shots. I can see with this project, my problem is going to be deciding on a single photo for every day! Well, here goes, enjoy!
